Hello, I’m Urvashi More, a passionate journalist and digital media specialist dedicated to uncovering stories that resonate and presenting them in ways that captivate and inform. My Background & Education

I hold a Master’s in Digital Journalism from the University of Strathclyde, where I received the Dean’s International Excellence Award in Humanities and Social Sciences. This program provided me with a comprehensive understanding of today’s media landscape and the ethical frameworks necessary to navigate it responsibly. My coursework included Multimedia Journalism, Media Ethics, Strategic Communication, and Producing Media. During this time, I worked on diverse multimedia projects, addressing topics like the UK healthcare system, challenges faced by international students, and the Coronation of King Charles. My dissertation, which focused on Glasgow’s city regeneration, showcased my digital storytelling skills by combining data, design, and empathy to highlight real experiences.

Experience & Highlights

In the dynamic world of digital media, I have embraced a variety of roles that have honed my storytelling and strategic communication skills. Currently, I am a freelance entertainment writer for Sportskeeda, where I have authored over 100 articles on a wide range of topics including films, TV series, Hollywood updates, and emerging pop culture trends. My role involves more than just writing; it demands a deep understanding of international content, identifying key trends, and crafting reviews that are both insightful and engaging. From exploring character arcs in blockbuster films to analyzing social media chatter on trending series, I ensure each piece resonates with audiences across the globe.
 

Before joining Sportskeeda, I served as a sub-editor and reporter at Breakthrough Press. This role allowed me to delve into impactful stories, covering topics ranging from local cultural movements to global issues. I was responsible for researching complex subjects, creating SEO-optimized articles that drive traffic, and managing the digital presence of the platform. By ensuring accuracy, clarity, and audience engagement, I developed a strong foundation in editorial precision and content strategy.
 

Beyond journalism, I have also worked extensively in social media management. I managed campaigns and content calendars for brands like Meghnirmayee Creations and Enzoleague. These roles involved developing creative strategies, optimizing content for search engines, and crafting posts that connect with diverse audiences. By balancing creativity with data-driven insights, I ensured that each project delivered tangible results and elevated the brand’s digital presence.

Community & Advocacy

I am deeply committed to social causes and community-driven initiatives. From organizing college events to teaching English in local schools, I have gained a profound understanding of the stories that matter. Recently, I served as a UN Women UK Delegate, contributing to discussions on gender equality and community empowerment. These experiences inspire my dedication to impactful and inclusive journalism.
